Pack Walk Rules

All dogs are welcome, including reactive dogs. Our goal is to create a safe, respectful environment where everyone has enough space to work with their individual dog.

• One handler per dog. Each dog must have their own capable handler for safety and control.

• Use a standard leash. No flexi or retractable leashes during Pack Walks.

• No nose-to-nose greetings. Dogs are not expected to meet or interact with one another.

• Give other teams space. Maintain a comfortable distance between dogs and advocate for your dog if they need more room.

• Stay aware of your surroundings. Watch your dog, the environment, and the people and dogs around you.

• Reactive dogs are welcome. We may suggest walking toward the front or back of the group, or creating additional distance, so your dog is not overwhelmed.

• Respect everyone's training choices. No shaming, arguing about tools, or negative comments toward other handlers.

• Walk single-file when practical. This helps keep the group organized and leaves room for other people to pass.

• Know your dog's limits. Weather, distance, terrain, age, health, and stress can all affect how much a dog can comfortably handle. It is always okay to turn around or leave early.

• Bring water for both you and your dog.

• Please arrive on time. We generally wait about 5–10 minutes before beginning the walk.

• Have fun. These walks are here to give dogs and their people a place to get outside, practice around real-world distractions, and enjoy being part of the STABLE community.
